Wis. girl who died at Minn. music festival identified

Authorities still don’t know what caused the death of a Wisconsin teenager at a Minnesota music festival last week.

The Becker County sheriff’s office identifies the girl as 17-year-old Ashley Marie McCoy of West Salem, Wisconsin. She was found dead at her campsite at the 10,000 Lakes festival near Detroit Lakes last Friday.

A preliminary autopsy report indicates no foul play. The autopsy indicates that McCoy had been dead for a while and that she died in her sleep, but the exact cause of her death is still undetermined.
