Bricelyn teen critical but stable after shooting

No charges are expected in a shooting that critically wounded a 15-year-old boy in southern Minnesota.

The boy was shot Tuesday near Bricelyn (BRYS’-luhn). He remains in critical but stable condition at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Faribault (FAYR’-boh) County Sheriff Mike Gormley says a 19-year-old man also was in the house at the time, but the shooting remains under investigation. The 15-year-old from Bricelyn was struck in the head. His name has not been released.

The sheriff says the shooting appears accidental, and that the gun was not locked up.
