Minnesota Vikings backup quarterback Gus Frerotte has returned to practice after missing because of a sore back.
Frerotte participated in morning drills and showed no signs of discomfort.
Defensive end Brian Robison missed his second straight day of practice, and there is still no word on whether he will need surgery on a varicose vein in his left leg.
Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier says losing Robison for any length of time would be a blow to the team’s depth at the position behind starter Jared Allen.
Tight end Garrett Mills was out again with a sprained ankle and cornerback Marcus McCauley sat out with a knee injury. Those injuries are not deemed to be serious.
