The Christmas Season

Quite a sad state regarding sports franchises in Minnesota. Torii Hunter the latest star to depart with Johan Santana likely to go in a trade next. Kevin Garnett is playing superstar basketball for the Celtics while they run away with their division.  Remember Boston was a bottom feeder last season. They added two stars and turned things completely around. Why couldn't the Timberwolves have done that? Bad management! And let's not forget Randy Moss who's having an MVP type season and likely going to the Super Bowl. Seems like we're running farm teams here only to supply people who run sports franchises more smartly with tremendous talent after they develop. And when is the last time you saw ticket prices drop for a game?

Great tip if you still have not booked Christmas travel. Take the first flight out in the more and you are much more likely not to be delayed and you'll have the option of catching a later flight if you are bumped or your flight is cancelled. Never book the last flight of the day, they are much more likely to be cancelled. And lastly Thanksgiving travel saw most planes full so make those reservations today!

If you find yourself holiday shopping online quite a bit good news... most online retailers will not be charging shipping this holiday season. If they do surf around and find what you're looking for minus the shipping charges elsewhere.

We must have been lulled into some sort of hypnotic state. Gasoline prices are roughly 70 cents higher than this time last year and there is no outrage! People did not cut back on driving over the hill to Grandma's for Thanksgiving.
