Strange Times

Is it just me or does it feel really weird "out there" right now? Food prices escalating; talk of rationing; gas prices really ugly; investment firms struggling; cyclones killing tens of thousands; earthquakes.
I am a believer that the economic picture is not as bleak as we are lead to believe by some of the Lou Dobbs-type fear mongers. Employment numbers as well as many other economic indicators support me. But . . . people feel uneasy regardless of the numbers. It will be interesting to see what the world looks like in five years. Will life be much the same as it is today, or will we be living in very different times?
